Keeping your teeth for a lifetime is both your priority and ours, however sometimes it can be necessary to extract or remove a tooth. We aim to do this quickly, efficiently and as comfortably as possible.
Your teeth or tooth might require extraction for any number of reasons, including:
A severe, irreparable breakage to the tooth
Impacted wisdom teeth
Overcrowding in the mouth
Severe gum disease requires tooth extraction
Recurrent root canal infections
By removing an unhealthy tooth, we aim to preserve the health of your remaining teeth and gums.
When we plan an extraction, we will ensure that you fully understand the treatment process. Most patients are happy to proceed with local anaesthetic, however if you are a nervous patient or the extraction may be complex, we can offer dental sedation. If you require sedation, we will provide you with all the information you require prior to your appointment. Please click here for more information about dental sedation.
If you’re having a tooth or teeth removed, we offer a range of solutions to restore your missing teeth. This is particularly important if you require multiple extractions so that we can preserve your facial shape and structure, ensure you still have good dental function and so that there’s no impact upon your appearance.
